8 tips for summertime in the fillmore district (san francisco, ca)








Our community has so much to offer...here are a few tips for your summer shopping in the Fillmore!!! 



1. Pick Up Your Summer Wares:  Need shades, a cool tee or trendy footwear? Stop by Fashion Town or the Brooklyn Circus SF, Teri's Creations and Hats on Fillmore for the latest accessories to look cool and beat the summer heat.

2. Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth: Whether it's pastries or ice cream Miyako Ice Cream Shop and Bumzy's Cookies are conveniently located right next door to each other. Now that's a sweet deal!  

3. Refresh Yourself: Sip and savor at 1300 on Fillmore with an 
old-time cocktail like Tom Collins or get innovative with new concoctions such as Bourbon Poolside or Sapphire on the BayouTake it a step further and dip into luxury at Kabuki Hot Springs with a deep tissue massage or sauna time.

4. Spend Less Time in the Kitchen:
 Whether it's pizza at Bruno's or a down home meal at Progress, winner of the James Beard Award for Best Chef West 2015, you can't go wrong with a variety of restaurants in the neighborhood. 8. Plan your own summer fiesta! Book a family event at the West Bay Conference Center or plan an indoor get together and spruce up your place with lighting, pillows and more from Zinc Details. You'll definitely be the talk of the party!

Fillmore Jazz Festival on July 4-5 from 10am-6pm. The event stretches for 12 blocks from Jackson to Eddy along Fillmore Street.


6th Annual Salsa on The Fillmore festival! Enjoy two nights of free outdoor concerts, dance lessons for all levels, and live performances. Live music and entertainment by Orquesta Callao, DJ Bobby A and Los Boleros. Where: Fillmore Center Plaza, 1475 Fillmore St. at O'Farrell
